While at the Fredericton Boyce Market on Saturday mornings I started to sketch to fill the six hours I am there a little more productively. Eventually, I invited people to bring photographs for me to work from to do portrait sketches and the response has been satisfying.
I expected requests to do portraits of grandchildren but have also been asked to do grownups and grandparents as well as pets. There have been some surprises as well - for example, a lovely lady with an elephant and another of a pet crayfish! You will notice that I sometimes also use a touch of watercolours or coloured pencil in some of them. The finished drawings are matted and mounted under plexiglass in simple black frames.
If you have a photo you would like me to work from, check out my contact page and get in touch.
